Doctoral Workshop on Life Writing

On June 21, 2017, Siri Hustvedt will present a Doctoral workshop on Life Writing for the Doctoral Program in English and American Literature Studies at the University of Zurich.

Worldwide renowned author Siri Hustvedt will be present for a doctoral workshop on Life Writing. Discussing Life Writing from the particular standpoint of authorship, this workshop is designed to offer unique insights in the writing practice of this outstanding female writer. In conversation Siri Hustvedt, besides her own extensive literary work also spouse of Paul Auster, in addition to discussing her latest work, The Blazing World, will respond to questions raised in the ensuing discussions. Students are encouraged to profit from this unique opportunity of a personal encounter with the author of What I Loved (2003), The Sorrows of an American (2008), and The Summer Without Men (2011).
