Siri Hustvedt, literary star, scientist, read in Augsburg from her yet unpublished novel.
Stefanie Wirsching's write-up of Siri's appearance in Augsburger, Germany, for Augsburger Allgemeine.
"'Back then' is the name of the novel from which New York writer Siri Hustvedt read on Saturday evening at the University of Augsburg. The book will be published next spring, only once has it been read publicly. Well then, German premiere, chapter 14, before that a little introduction by Siri Hustvedt himself: It's about a writer in her early sixties with the initials SH, which remembers her first years in New York ... and yes, those SH, she comes as Hustvedt from Minnesota. In this novel, she lets the older self negotiate with his younger self while writing a novel, it is probably also about an experience of violence, the whole story has to wait at least a few months."
